Fusee Animator

Fusee (fyu-'zE) - def. A warning device that burns bright red when ignited and remains burning for a short length of time. Fusees are ignited and dropped on the right of way to indicate to a following train the presence of stopped or slow-moving equipment ahead.

Fusee Animator (fyu-'zE 'a-n&-"mA-t&r) - def. A circuit that controls a small red light bulb to simulate a fusee on a model railroad. Also used to simulate a roadside flare used near an automobile accident scene.

Fusee Animator Features:

bullet Circuit triggered by a photocell (included), a simple SPST switch or any other control device capable of "grounding" the trigger input. Once the circuit is triggered the fusee will begin "burning."
bullet Choose from two different flicker rates using on-board jumpers
bullet When the trigger is removed (e.g. photocell uncovered) the fusee will begin to extinguish; the time it takes to "burn out" is selectable (10 or 20 seconds). As the fusee burns out you will see its brightness drop and flickering slow down.
bullet Large version (#FA-L) comes with a 2.4mm red bulb suitable for S scale and above; the small version (#FA-S) comes with a 1.2 mm red bulb suitable for N and HO scale
bullet Powered from AC or DC - draws about 30mA! You can even power it from the rails if you're using command control.
